（1）义务教育阶段英语课程的总目标是：通过英语学习使学生形成初步的综合语言运用能力，促 进心智发展，提高综合人文素养。综合语言运用能力的形成建立在语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、学习策 略和文化意识等方面整体发展的基础之上。语言技能和语言知识是综合语言运用能力的基础；文化意识有利 于正确地理解语言和得体地使用语言；有效的学习策略有利于提高学习效率和发展自主学习能力；积极的情 感态度有利于促进主动学习和持续发展。过五个方面相辅相成，共同促进学生综合语言运用能力的形成与发 展。

Step 1 Lead一in ①Play the song "Happy Birthday" for the students and ask the question ：When is your birthday? ②Play the video of celebration of Children's Day， and ask students to think that when Children's Day is in China.
Step 2 Presentation
（1）Words learning ①Look and guess Write down the new words on the blackboard.Teacher uses the flags and the pictures of people of difficult countries to explain the new words （ Singapore， Thailand， UK， Japan ） and ask students to guess. once they come up with the right answer， rewards will be given. ②Point and say Ask one student to say a new word they just learned， and another student needs to point the picture on the blackboard.
（2）Sentence learning ①Ask students "When is Children's Day in China?" and explain the sentence in Chinese. Help students to answer "In China， Children's day is on the first of June." Those target languages need to be written on the blackboard. ②Instruct students to read the passage and explain the meaning of each sentence in the mean time. ③Then play the tape of the passage and ask students to do "True or False".
